Welcome
|
|
|
Visitors to the Petaluma Farmers’ Markets will enjoy the bounty of Sonoma County produce (much of it organic) and find a wealth of fresh fruit, vegetables, flowers, plants, fresh baked goods, fresh cider, cheeses, Indian foods, hot dogs and soft drinks are also available to take home or enjoy in the park setting.
In addition to the bountiful food and produce, every market day also features live musical entertainment, face painting, a balloon artist, a jumping house and pony rides. There is a great selection of unusual and interesting handmade arts & crafts available at each market. The Farmers’ Markets are great places to have a fun family outing located in two different locations on two different days of the week in Historic Downtown Petaluma.
Starting in 2010
the Petaluma Farmers'
Markets will be
accepting the EBT/SNAP
benefits cards.
This program at the
Market has been made

What
is a Certified
Farmers'
Market?

The
certified
farmers market
concept is an
effort to
re-establish
the
traditional
link between
farmers and
consumers in
California.
Put simply,
certified
farmers'
markets (CFM's)
are "the
real
thing,"
places where
genuine
farmers sell
their crops
directly to
the public. It
is where the
agrarian
community
relates to the
urban
community.
