Items that may be sold at the Petaluma Farmers’ Market include all local certified agricultural products, hand made art and crafts and local food products.  All items to be sold must be approved by the Market Manager.

Local certified agricultural products must be certified through the Sonoma County Agricultural Commissioners Office.  Please call them at (707) 565-2371 for more information on how to become certified.

Food product vendors must prepare food in a commercial kitchen, carry at least $1,000,000 in product liability insurance (they must name the Petaluma Farmers’ Market as additionally insured) and obtain a health permit. Please contact the Sonoma County Environmental Health Department at (707) 565-6548 for more information on obtaining a health permit.

Hand made arts and craft products must be made and sold by the same person.  All arts& crafts vendors must provide the market with a valid resale license.  For this license please contact the contact State Board of Equalization (707) 576-2100.

Bath and Body products must be sold by the producer, and the producer must carry at least one million dollars worth of product liability insurance for their product and they must name the Petaluma Farmers’ Market as additionally insured.

Some items that cannot be sold at the Petaluma Farmers’ Market include non-certified agricultural products, imported items, non-hand made arts & crafts.

The Petaluma Farmers’ Market is a local not for profit organization.  The Petaluma Farmers’ Markets Events run completely on fees that are paid by the vendors of the market and some local businesses that Sponsor the Market.
